Terms of Service
These terms apply when you use Birdio, the golf scoring and society management app at birdiogolf.co.uk and in our Android app. By creating an account or using Birdio, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Birdio. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.
Please don't:
We may remove content or suspend or close accounts that break these rules.
You own what you put into Birdio — your scores, photos, messages and other content. You give us permission to store, process and display it as needed to run Birdio for you and the people you share it with (for example, your society, tournament players, or anyone you send a shared round link to). You're responsible for having the right to upload anything you add, such as photos.
Handicap indexes, course handicaps and Stableford points shown in Birdio are calculated from the data entered using standard formulas, for convenience only. They are unofficial and are not a substitute for a handicap issued by a recognised golf authority (such as England Golf or your national body). Competition results in Birdio are only as accurate as the scores entered.
When you share a round or results, anyone with the link can view what you shared until you stop sharing. Please think about who you send links to.
We work to keep Birdio running smoothly, but it's provided "as is" and we can't promise it will always be available or error-free. We may change, add or remove features, and we may update these terms — if the changes are significant we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, tell you in the app. Continuing to use Birdio after changes means you accept the updated terms.
Birdio is provided for personal, non-commercial use. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or unforeseeable losses, or for losses caused by incorrect data entered by users, by society organisers' decisions, or by events outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't legally be limited, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
You can stop using Birdio and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, and we'll usually tell you why.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
